Scott and the new Shovelhead

I met Scott a while back while surfing the local on a less than average day and couldn't help but wonder how such a big guy (95kgs) went in the less than ideal conditions....It was knee high and gutless.... He had mals for the paddle and float but really missed the maneuverability of the shorter boards. He had a full quiver of boards but they all had their own drawbacks and compromises. Anyway, Scott turned up at my place with the whole lot and ran me through what he liked and didn't like about each one. After much discussion he settled on the Shovelhead design but I customised it to suit his criteria.   This is Scott picking it up with his son and at the time was pretty wrapped in the result.....a couple of weeks later I was the recipient of a babbling phone call with him spruking the merits of the Shovelhead and how it had exceeded his expectations..... he was one super stoked grommet again with a froth on that was verging on possessed!!.

Included in this custom design is a quad box. This gives the option of riding as a quad, thruster or movable single fin. The deck features a custom made skull decal and a polly-prop stomp patch for back foot strength without the added weight. The custom hand-paint was done by me. The dims on this board....6'8'' x 22'' x 3'' and 50.5 litres
